The biggest reason for the craze behind blogging is - our readers say their opinions on what we had written. Blogging is an endless job. We will gain new relationships with many persons all over the globe. So blogging is fun. I forgot to mention the main thing… we can even earn from blogging. (This is the real fun)
Ok coming to the point, these things are possible only if people read our stuff (sorry, I don’t know some people might be using blog as a personal diary).We need to drive traffic to our blog. The dream of every blogger (probably) is to bring loads and loads of traffic to his blog. So here I am stating some of the ways for driving traffic for a new blog.
1. Post regularly. There is no alternative for this. Don’t copy paste from anywhere, as I tried it 2 years back copying articles from article directories and miserably failed.
2. Don’t be isolated. Comment your opinions on your niche blogs. It’s a type of link building…Don’t comment for a link.
The difference is…when you comment for a link your comment will be 1 or 2 words and if you are not lazy you may go up to 3 words.(Example 1: Great post Example 2:Nice post again Example3:Nice information).These stuffs will annoy the bloggers. And this may disturb your relationship with them.
3. Make your blog search engine friendly, you will get 40-50% of traffic from search engines as the days pass. Use wordpress. Submit your blog to all the search engines.
4. Use things like Digg , technorati , stumbleupon etc. social networking sites. Submit your interesting articles to them. Your visitors may vote on them. Once you climb on to the front page of these sites, no doubt you will get 1000s of new traffic.
5. Use the remainder facility we have.RSS feeds do this job. It reminds our readers about our new posts. Use it effectively. It will bring you returning traffic. At the end of every post you remind readers to subscribe for your RSS feed.
These are the only ways striking to my mind at present. I am sure that there are many other, different, new ways to get more traffic. So please add some other tips here.
