The position in US and Europe (Their main marketing areas) is in such a way that they cannot even charge cents for calls. So this made Skype to announce unlimited package on April 21 2008.

It seems this equates to 5 hours a day. Though they are defining this move as a promotion of their business, analysts are shouting about their difficulties all around the internet and they are even expecting one more similar announcement in short time.
